More specifically, I am doing research on the (1) ecology, biogeography, and evolution of seed dormancy and germination, (2) autecology of characteristic cedar glade plant species, including both endemics and non-endemics, (3) floristics and community ecology of plant communities of cedar glades, xeric limestone prairies, and barrens in southeastern United States, (4) biology and geographical ecology of plant taxa endemic to rock outcrops of unglaciated eastern United States, (5) history and present status of the Big Barrens of Kentucky and Tennessee, (6) life history ecology of eastern deciduous forest herbs, and (7) life cycle and community ecology of mudflat species.
